SIGNING OFF PLAY FIRST EVER THEATRE SHOW

Signing Off recently played their first ever theatre show which took place at the beautiful Grade II listed 'Palace Theatre' in Redditch in Worcestershire on 11th November 2023.

The night in Redditch started with Present Arms followed by Here I Am (Come and Take Me), by then the crowd were immediately up on their feet and it wasn’t too long before the aisles were filled. Other tracks included Homely Girl, Bring Me Your Cup, The Way You Do The Things You Do, amongst many others before the band introduced the hit Kingston Town which was dedicated to late UB40 founding member Brian Travers who passed away back in 2021. Before long it was nearly the end of the band's first set prior to the final song Rat In Mi Kitchen being performed.

The second half of the night included some choice cuts taken from UB40's debut seminal album Signing Off (from where the band take their name) and included tracks such as King, I Think It's Going To Rain Today and Food For Thought. The band also announced they would be performing for the first time ever live the 1990 hit I'll Be Your Baby Tonight a collaboration track with the late Robert Palmer prior to the final song before the encore; Red Red Wine.

After the band had left the stage, the crowd were hungry for more, cheering and shouting "We want more!" before the band returned to the stage to perform the penultimate track of the night which was One In Ten before 'signing off' the night with Elvis' (I Can’t Help) Falling in Love With You.
